In honor of International Women’s Month, we invited Vicki to share her experiences last September in both honoring and being welcomed by Chicago’s religious communities. Vicki described her quest of “wanting to lift up America’s religious diversity,” and reflected on the important role of women in breaking boundaries and forming spiritual friendships.

Rev. Vicki Garlock, Ph.D. is Founder of World Religions 4 Kids and Education Director for Religion Matters. Last September, she earned a Guinness world record for Visiting the Most Places of Worship in One Month. She is the author of the award-winning kids’ books We All Have Sacred Spaces and ABCs of the World’s Religions and regularly presents at conferences, helping educators gain confidence and proficiency for teaching about religion in the classroom.
